I found this wooden star on clearance after Christmas, and it was too cute to pass up.
I was inspired by a friend of mine who has a little boy who likes to hear the Stars So Bright song when I visit. He is referring to Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. I've made this for his room, which is decorated in vintage Americana, including stars.
PROJECT DETAILS
The wooden star is from Hobby Lobby. I removed all the pieces and painted the edges and the inner circle with Dusk paint by Making Memories. After the star was dry, I applied paper from American Traditional Design's Road Trip kit, and sanded off any excess.
I wiped the star clean, and added some doodles along the edge, and rubbed a little Brown Paper Bag ink (CTMH) to distress the star slightly. I finished it off with EK Scrabble Tiles.
